The Band

Stevie Gray (Keyboard / Vocals)

Stevie has been involved in music since the age of 9 playing trumpet, which became his first study at the RSAMD. Since completing his studies Stevie played in orchestras for musicals and has undertaken a wide range of freelance orchestral work throughout the UK.  For years he played with the Tom Shirra and Forth Valley Big Bands and for variety shows at the Kings Theatre, Edinburgh working with greats like Ray Allen, Frankie Vaughan and Bruce Forsyth.

Stevie has also enjoyed the opportunity to perform and conduct many quality ensembles throughout Europe and the UK. These days Stevie is an Instrumental Music Service manager for West Lothian Council and by night provides keyboards and backing vocals for Live & Kicking.

Rab Graham  (Guitar/ Vocals)

Rab is considered one of the finest and most dynamic guitarists in the country, his outstanding technique and distinctive feel blend sublimely when playing any musical genre. He has an outstanding rich vocal ability ideally suited to lead vocals and harmonising. Rab has years of experience performing with countless musicians and bands throughout the UK.

 

Willie Anderson (Vocals)

Willie is the ‘Driving Force’ and energy behind the band. He’s widely recognised as one of the finest singers and entertainers in the Scottish function scene having an exceptional distinctive clear register that’s equally at home with dance standards from the sixties through to the present. Willie has been involved in arranging weddings and corporate functions throughout the UK for over 20 years.

Alasdair Rankin (Drums)

Alasdair is a graduate of the RSAMD. He has performed with many of the UK’s professional orchestras including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, BBC Scottish Symphony and Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Alasdair has travelled throughout Europe performing with countless top professional musicians in some of the best venues in the world like the Royal Albert Hall.

Alasdair also has many years experience teaching drums and percussion in schools and colleges throughout Scotland.
